Why play softball?

Softball is a great sport for all ages and abilities. It combines game play that keeps you alert, increases your fitness, and improves the fundamental skills needed for a range of ball sports.

For many juniors, it is a natural progression from Teeball - the diamond is the same size, and about 2/3 of the size of a baseball diamond, and the rules are similar.

The summer Women's competition has a range of divisions to cater for every ability, so if you are looking to get involved to make new friends, or set a new fitness goal, softball is a friendly environment to do so.

For many men who play baseball during the summer, playing a winter softball season keeps the energy levels up, and the game play familiar, while for men who don't play baseball, it is a great opportunity to enjoy the sport in its own right.
